SIARA BERRY’S body of work prompts associations to the domestic structure by combining quotidian tools and materials, such as brooms, house paint, and carpet; illustrating the laborious commitments to one’s surroundings and in turn, one’s self. Exaggeration and impracticality are consistent themes within her work, amplifying the tension between the recognizable and unfamiliar, the comfortable and the troublesome.
