Join the Kansas City Artists Coalition for a free community celebration honoring five decades of supporting artists and strengthening Kansas City's creative community.

This isn't just a birthday party for KCAC—it's a celebration of the people, organizations, businesses, and neighbors who have helped make Kansas City's arts scene so vibrant.

Spend the afternoon exploring artist demonstrations, interactive art activities, live music and performances, local food and drinks, creative community organizations, and plenty of opportunities to connect with fellow art lovers.

Whether you've been part of KCAC for years or you're visiting for the first time, we'd love for you to celebrate with us.

For 50 years, the Kansas City Artists Coalition has supported artists, built community, and celebrated creativity throughout Kansas City. This August, we're inviting local businesses, organizations, and community partners to help us celebrate this milestone.

Our goal is simple: create a welcoming, free celebration that reflects the artists, neighbors, businesses, and organizations that make our city such a vibrant place to create.

  • Our intent with Curation Services is to offer artists in our region additional exhibition opportunities. The program provides artists with access to non-traditional exhibition spaces.

  • Exhibitions at KCAC explore the diversity of expression that shapes contemporary culture, art, and ideas.

  • Participating artists are able to exhibit artwork for an extended period and receive an honorarium for solo exhibitions. Curation Services is an ongoing program with opportunities open to emerging and mid-career artists year round.

  • The experience of working with the KCAC staff on my encaustic collage workshop was wonderful. It’s a great space, plus the staff was very helpful. The participants created some exceptional pieces of art using new processes they had never experienced. Everything ran smoothly and I’m grateful for the opportunity to host the workshop.
