POLLY ALICE began to create a series of female figures in 2017 and called it her “Dangerous Women” series; something akin to the twelve freedoms for women. The first is “Freedom to Think,” the second “Freedom to Create,” and so on. The series is a culmination of personal symbols Alice has sought to develop that would explore the nature of and experience of “feminine” values: intuition over logic, relationship over dominance, collaboration over force, process over goals and emotion over thought. The series is numbered but can be seen to start at any point like a clock. In the future she hopes to combine these studies into a larger #timesup installation.
