MEGAN GANEY is inspired by a cigar box of negatives that her great-grandmother shot. She discovers that the layers between family history and familiar scenes and curiosity and detachment create a space for reinvention. A space to take a moment in time to build a tableau where the characters are ideas created to tell a new story with the same frame. History, truth, realism and perspective all rely on context. Some faces are lost in the depths of memory, some memories lost in the depths of time. The story is told through body language. This process is an endless study in interpersonal connections.
