MARK ALLEN is a multi-disciplinary artist based in Kansas City focusing on photography, directing, and even tarot. Allen’s solo exhibition, “Bodies of Water, Bodies of Light” is a debut of underwater and light painting photography. Allen’s photographic works are contemporary interpretations of traditional icons and meanings from tarot. Using light as a tool to create movement and form, Allen develops a mystified work for his subject matter to dwell. For Allen, light is more than a technical aid in his photographs, but a divine symbol of transformation and communication.
