Now in its 16th year, this exhibition continues to support artists and the Flint Hills region of Kansas. This annual exhibit engages audiences across the region, and we have the sales to prove it! We hope you will be a part of the 2024 exhibition. 

All artwork in this show will depict or be derived from the Flint Hills region of Kansas. The Flint Hills region contains the largest tallgrass prairie in North America. 

Over $1,000 in artist awards will be announced during First Friday in four different categories (Painting, Photography, 3D, and Other). 

This annual exhibit benefits Friends of Konza Prairie, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the support of the Konza Prairie Environmental Education Program. 

First Friday is scheduled to be held at Buttonwood Art Space on October 4th from 5pm - 8pm. Other private events will also be hosted to increase art sales. 

Artists may submit for this exhibit through your Artist Profile on our website for a one-time $35 entry fee. Submissions are limited to a maximum of 4 per artist. 

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: August 6, 2024 BEFORE 4 PM 

Artists: Submit your artwork through the Buttonwood Art Space Website, HERE! Once your images are approved, you may log back into your profile and submit for the show! Be sure to select the category for each submission.  Please limit number of submissions to 4 per artist. 
Commission:  50% to artists, 50% to Friends of Konza Prairie
Entry Fee: $35
