Lynette Ubel is a master of color and composition. Her paintings and photographs reflect artistic choices. Her visual acuity has created images of intense beauty, crystallized stillness and atmospheres awash with color.
She has assembled a body of work that murmurs, sings and creates a visual chorus celebrating texture, color and light. She savors the opportunity to share her perspective of our world by capturing the view, the moment, and especially the feeling of what she sees.
In addition to her painting and photography, Ubel is an award-winning advertising art director, book designer and owner of Ubel Design. She has created over 50+ books for museums, artists, Pulitzer-Prize winning journalists and New Your Times best-selling authors. With almost daily exposure to selection and use of color, art, and photography, Lynette challenges herself to capture the beauty she observes with an artistic, yet critical, eye.
Ubel’s lifelong artistic talents are emerging as an abstract painter under the mentorship of Robert Quackenbush/Studio Q. Lynette’s photography exhibits in businesses across the Kansas City Metro area with 40 images having been part of a one-woman show at The Blanden Art Museum in Iowa.
