Fall is HERE and so is The KCAC Artist Lifestyle project! We are jumping back into all things art with local painter Jenny Hahn (@jennyhahnart)!

We have watched the evolution of Jenny’s work over the past few years through First Friday happenings at her studio space in The Bauer. When Jenny’s work was juried into last months River Market Regional Exhibition at KCAC we thought it was high time to see if she wanted to be one of our featured artists. Lucky for us she said YES!

We are looking forward to what Jenny has to share with us, so here are a few words from her about her work and current art practice…

“Painting is my connection to the mystery. When I show up to the canvas, I am aware of a profound creative energy over which I have little control, but through which I am continually humbled and amazed as I let go and ‘trust the process’. I feel that I am co-creating with a force greater than myself.

I paint in vibrant color mostly using acrylics, either on stretched canvas or on board. Working layer upon layer, I allow the images and symbols to emerge organically and shift as they develop. My daily meditation practice and love of nature and color informs my process.”

We are excited to see what Jenny has in store for us, so here are a few images of her artwork and past Instagram photos to get things kicked off…
